Congratulations; you are getting married!
My name is Koen Brakenhoff (1979) and I live in Leiden. In 2007 I married my husband Geert, with whom I have been for more than half of my life. I was born into a real wedding family: my mother is known as ’the Trouwmevrouw’ and you shop at my sister Suzannes for the most beautiful wedding dresses (Suus Bridal Boutique). Marriage is really in my DNA.
Your ceremony, my profession
Since I was sworn in as marriage officiant (BABS) in 2021, I conclude marriages and registered partnerships throughout the Netherlands. Soon I found my own style. Enthusiastic, with humor, eloquent, and sense of style describe my signature best.
My hotelschool-background guarantees a welcoming experience for all guests (and if necessary, I also have tips for your master of ceremonies or weddingplanner). I am fluent in Dutch, English, and French and love to welcome your guests in their own language. Moreover, I am a trained etiquette expert and can help you solve any questions you may have in this area.
The secret to a wonderful ceremony
During a first, free introduction, I will explain how I work. If there is a mutual click, you will receive a confirmation and we will schedule the Marriage Interview.
With all the information I get to work for an unforgettable, personal ceremony where all your guests really feel welcome. I often contact your witnesses, family or friends beforehand, so that they can also provide input for the wedding day. Before the Big Day we often have contact to coordinate the last details.
